MODERN STUDY

Custom Cabinetry

Above is a custom designed Mid Century inspired cabinet, which houses electronics as well as storage for entertaining necessities. It is a simple statement of contrast without color.  The frame is solid walnut with a tinted analine dye in a satin finish and the doors, which have concealed hardware, are wrapped in a faux shagreen.

PALM BEACH CASUAL

For the Love of Color

A Period Misner Home and a client that loves color.  This is the result of a challenge were I was asked to paint the walsl pink.  The inspired fabric is  a print on linen from Jane Churchill, used as the pillows for a pair of white cotton sofas.  The rest then fell into place.  A custom slip-covered ottoman used as the coffee table, covered  in a pink Chippendale weave, centers the environment.  A pair of English prints, look at them closely, add perspective and whimsy on either side of the fireplace.

CEO'S OFFICE

Marriage of Antiques and Technology

The challenge in this office was the design of the custom credenza which housed all the files, electronics, a safe and all the other items needed on hand by the end user, that the antiques could not provide.  Features include unlacquered hardware that we aged to relate to the to other metals in the room.  The sheers as example are back with motorized shades but are not seen, this way the light can be controlled yet the atmosphere remained traditional.

PHILOSOPHY

Concept, Construction, Completion to the last Detail

Keep the past in mind, but always look towards the future. This is at the back of each decision I make when it comes to designing or redesigning a space.

I am a problem solver.

The world of interior design has such a vast vocabulary.  I am not here to you my style, but to understand your style and expand, create and suggest within your vocabulary of design.

This is what creates unique, personalized homes for the people that invite me into their lives.

"Creativity is allowing oneself to make mistakes.

Art is knowing which ones to keep"
